Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was my  most anticipated movie off my must watch summer 2009 movie list. After going into the first Transformers movie and being pleasantly surprised I no doubt had high expectations for the sequel. Unfortunately Transformers 2 wasn’t a movie I enjoyed very much and in fact I am quite disappointed.

Two years have gone by since the happenings of the first transformers movie. Starscream has high tailed it to space, Megatron is dead and the rest of the Deceptions are scattered and in hiding while being hunted down by Autobots and a special team of American and British soldiers called NEST. New Autobots have arrived on earth to help to protect it and all is well until Megatron is revived and his master, the last of the “fallen” ones is revealed along with his plan to destroy Earth.

I didn’t like the movie because it was filled with the wrong types of excesses. Too many comedians, too many unnecessary characters, too much focus on unimportant scenes and the movie was longer that it needed to be. There were a few amazing moments action like Optimus Prime’s ass kicking scene in the forest and Jetfire is the probably the coolest transformer  ever but the movie lacked cohesiveness and falls short of my expectations. A usual I don’t want to spoil too much so be sure to check out Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at the theater and let me know what you think by leaving comments below.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the forth summer blockbuster I am blogging about after kinda enjoying Xmen Origins: Wolverine, loving Star Trek and feeling rather annoyed with Terminator Salvation.
