I signed up for Entrecard over a year ago and loved it so much that I blogged about how entrecard works, my experience using it and even had a small contest where I have away some points. Over the last few months however I have lost interest in entrecard because most of the reasons I loved it in the first place are no more. Traffic from it is now non-existent, frequent outages/glitches are frustrating, spammy entrecard ads and less time browsing around “dropping” cards on other sites are the reasons why I have decided to retire the entrecard widget in my sidebar as of today.
Google Friend Connect
I’ve been watching Google Friend Connect now for a while and now believe that it is a very useful networking tool for my site. Over the past few days I have been learning more about more about Google Friend Connect and I have decided to add the member gadget to my sidebar so I can start connecting with persons who like my site especially those I recently met in a Japan Bloggers meet-up online.
I will elaborate more on the new Japan Bloggers Society that I am now a part of in a future post but let me say I am very excited to be an accepted member and it would be good if something like this was done in the future to gather Caribbean Bloggers.

Yup yup, I “dropped” it (=P) a few days ago too. Not because I was noticeably tired of it but just for some style changes. But now that you mention it, I totally agree with what you said about losing interest. Google Friend Connect looks cool =) Hope it works out well
If you want a network that doesn’t require anything other than intelligent forum conversation, come check out CMF Ads. You will probably know most of the members already. They left EC for the same reasons you expressed above.
Hi! came across your site from an EC member so I think you shouldn’t drop EC altogether. I guess it still has its perks. Not that I’m making a testimonial of EC.. I also just joined last December and is still trying to get the hang of it. Google Friend Connect sound interesting though. I hope to read a post from you about it soon. ^^
Japan Bloggers sounds interesting too. I’ll go and check. Ja mata ne!
I got rid of EC too a couple of weeks ago, and I don’t miss it. Not only was it the spammers abusing the service, but it was the way the moderators were treating legitimate users… I’m also thinking on trying out Google Friend Connect as well.
Perhaps a darts player or somebody who plays pool, billiards or snooker may benefit from the additional height supplied by shoe or shoe lifts insoles but any sports where mobility is needed would surely be risking too much
