When it comes to hype and anticipation surrounding a video game release I dare say it never been higher than it was when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077. Ever since it was announced by CD Projekt Red gamers were salivating at the thought of diving into the futuristic Cyberpunk world created by Mike Pondsmith.

CD Projekt Red themselves set the bar high and promised so much especially in the last2 years of development. After delays, cuts, overtime and reworks what was delivered especially on consoles at launch was a bug-ridden pile of poop that should have never seen the light of day. I could go on about how terrible the release was but so many other better-qualified people have spoken about it. The best one I found is the video below by YouTuber “BeatEmUps”
I am no video game journalist but this is what I said about Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red when I put together my list of 5 most exciting games shown at E3 2019. When I reread it I cringed!
Cyberpunk 2077 β a game from a game company who listens and respects the feedback and input from its customers. You can tell when a game is developed out of a labour of love vs when it is pushed out the gate as fast as possible so the money can start flowing. CD Projekt Red is one of the biggest stars in the gaming industry at the moment and I am excited to play their Cyberpunk themed futuristic RPG come next year.
Cyberpunk 2077 Refund
I bought the PS4 version and needless to say I requested a refund after trying so hard to play and enjoy the game. Players like me could really see that underbelly really was good and enjoyable – but it was so frustrating to be yanked out of the immersion time and time again by some unforgivable bugs and glitches. I liked it so much when it worked that I considered getting it on PC but in the end, decided against it. Did you buy Cyberpunk 2077? What was your experience playing it?
