Takamatsu Shinmei-jinja Shrine Goshuin

Takamatsu Shinmei-jinja Shrine was apparently built in the year 941! It has hundreds of years of history and has seen it being burnt down and rebuilt at different times throughout its history. I got the goshuin from Takamatsu Shinmei Shrine on the same day as the goshuin from Mikane Shrine. The new Goshuincho from Hokkaido Shrine is already filling up nicely.

The grounds of the shrine are very small with the tori gates, inner shrine and an interesting painting/mural on the wall being the highlights. It was an extremely hot summer day when I visited, no one else was there, but the staff at the shrine were nice and allowed me to escape the summer heat to rest before continuing my Kyoto adventures.
