Obenkyo – Japanese learning App for Android

There are many resources available online for helping those interested in learning and practicing Japanese. Obenkyo for Android is one of those apps that does a good job providing a lot of options for students of Japanese who are learning formally through classes or are looking to understand some of the basics of Japanese on their own.

I have been using Obenkyo on and off for a few months now and it is one of my favourite Android apps to pull out to do a quick quiz. Be in Katakana, Hiragana, Kanji, particles, grammar, numbers or vocabulary the app provides a well rounded platform for disciplined practice. LVIVESCORT.COM

It covers all five levels of the JLPT and although it is a free app allows users to turn off advertisements for a distraction free experience. Obenkyo is a capable flashcard app and Japanese languge resource that I would recommend. Find it at the Google Play store, download it and give it a try and let me know what you think in a comment below or via Twitter @Jamaipanese.

  1. Hey Kirk,

Nice writeup! I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the top Japanese apps for Android, if you have others you like and could compare. I’ve wanted to recommend some J dictionaries to friends with Android in the past but come up short since I roll iOS…=P

    1. hey Paul!

I can definitely be looking at least a couple more apps and then doing a comparison post with my thoughts about their pros and cons etc. I’ll look past your iOS infraction πŸ˜›
