I learned one thing from that LAX to Narita leg of my 1st trip; booked via American Airlines but flown by Japan Airlines. It was the culmination of “Operation Visit Japan” and from my experience I knew that I will always be flying JAL whenever I can going forward. Fast-forward to now, after many trips domestic and international I stand by that decision, and I am now, unsurprisingly, a JAL obsessed fanatic. JAL Wing Collection are limited edition boxes that each feature one of eight Japan Airlines Airbus and Boeing models
Recently for my trip to Hokkaido I flew JAL and at the JAL store in Sapporo while waiting for my flight back injured my wallet by buying not one but 2 “gacha” boxes that each feature one of eight JAL airplane models. I had my eyes on model 4 which features the old-school JAL livery and as luck would have it, I got it! I also got the Airbus with the green writing which I wasn’t fond of but getting my number one pick eased my disappointment. Check out pics and the gacha model options below. There might be a Gundam themed JAL Gunpla model that did more damage to my wallet too, stay tuned for that once it gets delivered.
