I’ve seen and shared some awesome Japan themed videos over the years so it was interesting to discover a decent quality video showcasing scenes from Jamaica. “This is Beautiful” was produced directed and edited by Gina DeLisser who lives abroad but her home country of Jamaica has a special place in her heart and mind.

This was a personal project and so I decided to pursue a topic that I was passionate about. I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. I love my country with all my heart; the people the places. There are many challenges there, but I want to remind people that beyond that, there is a great deal more beauty. Beauty that transcends, class or race. This piece is a meshing and intertwining of various characters in Jamaica, and where they intersect with my journey. It’s all about where beauty intersects. There is no hierarchy of beauty.

That’s pretty damned cool… nice feel… very real, and very personal feel. It’s always good to be reminded that we should look closer to home for the beauty – as well as looking for it beyond the horizon. Liked the music and the idea. Every frame or every moment, holds beauty for those that have the heart to see it.
