Cricket Worldcup 2007 Opening Ceremony

I just had the opportunity to view one of the most positive, heartwarming, emotion inducing events that I have seen on television in a long time – the opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 in Trelawny Jamaica. If that ceremony was the only thing to rank by I would say that the tournament was a resounding success but as I snap back to reality I realize that this is only the beginning as there are are close to 50 days left of cricket playing action left to transpire in the Caribbean.

I am excited, I am pumped up and I am always ready to “rally ’round the West Indies” I know they will do us proud and as one of the presenters said it starts in Jamaica but ends but ends in Barbados, I just hope it ends with West Indies lifting that spectacular trophy.

As more media especially pictures of the ceremony goes unto the internet in the coming days I will be sure to post them as my way of sharing the experience.
