Nucleus to WordPress Conversion Experiments Successful

As I wrote a few days ago I am thinking about converting to wordpress. A couple nights of insomnia and a day skipped from work has allowed me to complete my Nucleus to WordPress conversion experiments faster than I thought and I ran into less problems than I thought I would while testing. Depending on how busy (or idle) I am over the next few days I am looking to complete the real WordPress conversion of my main site. I will then be writing a tutorial in case other nucleus users might want help with the same conversion.

For now follow me on twitter for updates and also drop me a message if you want to take a look at the results of the test conversion with all my blog comments and posts transferred over almost flawlessly.

  1. Maaan you should just do it. None of this "experiment" stuff. If it says it will work, then it will work. You can clean up any mess later.

Disclaimer: Take this advice at your own risk.

  2. Trials by fire usually make for a more interesting blog post, anyways. “Tragedy moves paper”, right?

Well … that’s what the newspaper moguls say, anyways.

Let me know if you need some help with any of the database stuff. I’ve been all up and down the back end of WordPress often enough to answer any questions you might have 🙂
