Miyajima Goshuin – Itsukushima and Daishoin Stamps

Miyajima is a famous island in Hiroshima, Japan. It has various temples, shrines, museums and other attractions, making it a hotspot for local and international tourism. I have visited Miyajima 3 or 4 times now with the first time being in 2018 when I enjoyed the city, the Pokémon centre and Miyajima during a golden week trip. Fast-forward to now when I live in Hiroshima Prefecture, my most recent visit was because of a special Hiroshima Peace Igniter program that I was invited to join. I managed to get two of the Miyajima Goshuin.

Itsukushima Shrine Goshuin

I managed to get the shrine stamp from the famous Itsukushima Shrine with its famous giant orange torii gate partially submerged at high tide.

Daishoin Temple Goshuin

I also explored a new place, Daishoin Temple (video here), located on the holy Mount Misen. The temple itself has a 1200-year history surrounding a special flame lit by its founder. I need to research more Miyajima Goshuin for the next time I am on the island.
