Jamaica celebrates 45 years of Independence

Today Jamaica celebrates 45 years of self rule. This is a great achievement and Jamaicans should be proud of our beautiful island paradise which has been ruled for ourselves for four and a half decades. We have been through a lot as a people, we are going through a lot now and more trials will come in the future but it is my belief that a united Jamaica is as powerful as any other nation in the world and it is only us as a people who can come together so we can start to realize our full potential. To the negative Jamaicans who cry about and love to highlight the negatives that happen my message to you is stop staying in your little corner and complain while you yourself do not do your small part that will contribute to the uplifting of Jamaica, it is your duty as a Jamaican.

Election day is three weeks away and I hope it will be with little or no incidents, I hope that the awful days of election violence is over and everyone can unite together with PNP or JLP and follow a unified path which will result in a better Jamaica.

NATIONAL SONG OF JAMAICA: I PLEDGE MY HEART

I pledge my heart forever
To serve with humble pride
This shining homeland, ever
So long as earth abide.

I pledge my heart, this island
As God and faith shall live
My work, my strength, my love and
My loyalty to give.

  1. The problem is how much of us are really Jamaicans. Meaning, how much of us actually try to be Jamaican, lift up our head in respect of country and engender patriotic traits. That my friend is the next level we need to be at.

  2. Our leaders have failed us since independence, and we have failed ourselves. It we weren’t surrounded by so much greed, greed for power and the wreckless squandering of our nation’s money, Jamaica would have been so much better today. However, we have accomplished a lot as a nation. We all need to have pride as a nation and work to make our country better and a government that will finally put Jamaica first.

  3. Jamaicans Uniteeeeeee. Either way we still pawn, asafa, the dude who flew around the world, Sean Kingston, Sean Paul, Busta Rhymes, Biggie…..Should i go on?
