Vote for Jamaicans to be 2008 World Athletes of the Year

Usain Bolt for the men and Veronica Campbell and Melaine Walker for the women are the Jamaica athletes nominated for the IAAF World Athletes of the Year award. 2008 was undoubtedly the best year for Jamaican athletics and so far the voting reflects that with Usian Bolt second place in the voting for men and Veronica Campbell and Melaine Walker first and third respectively in voting for the women at the time of this post.

The poster boy of athletics – Usain Bolt

Please take some time to go over to the voting page of the IAAF website and cast your vote for the Jamaican athletes!

Jamaica’s most decorated Olympic and World Champion athlete – Veronica Campbell Brown

A hero in her local community and Olympic 400m hurdles record holder – Melaine Walker

I invite Jamaican blog authors or blog authors who admired Jamaica’s athletic performance this year who read this to make a similar post on their blogs and share the link to vote with friends.
