Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is the 4th installment of a pirates of the Caribbean series that was original supposed to a trilogy. Being a huge fan of the pirates series Pirates 4 was one of my most anticipated movies of 2011 as I looked forward to seeing Johnny Depp and crew on another pirate themed adventure, this time to find the famed fountain of youth. I did know deep down that the sole purpose of this movie was to extend and milk every dollar from a financial successful franchise.

I got my ticket and watched Pirates 4 the day it premiered in Jamaica (May 20) but allowed myself a couple days to make it all soak in while taking notes before I wrote this review influenced by biased excitement. But just what did I think of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides? To put it mildly pirates 4 is the latest and greatest example of what high budget summer movies have become in recent years. It’s entertaining, action packed with an excellent cast but does hold up well to precise inspection or the overly analytical movie goer. Check out one of my favourite scenes embedded below.
