Granblue Fantasy Relink is the best action RPG I’ve played since Elden Ring. Many comparisons have already been made between Granblue Fantasy Relink and Monster Hunter but, I think Relink stands on its own as an excellent action RPG with a big cast of characters and playstyles that allow the player to skim the surface for the concise story and gameplay beats or dive deep into the gear grind and mechanics to min-max and craft characters that could defeat formerly formatable opponents with a sneeze.

Honestly, I liked the shorter story compared to the bloated mess that many RPGs have devolved into in recent years. Was it iconic and memorable? no, but it felt very well-paced. The huge cast of characters is bound to have a handful that different players will gravitate to. I played well after the credits rolled solo or in multiplayer with friends because the combat system is so good. I see myself playing Granblue Fantasy Relink on and off for the foreseeable future and I am looking forward to similar games in the franchise.
