I have worked on various podcasts and audio shows over the years. However, the Bon Bon Show is special. It’s a collaborative podcast with a laid-back vibe and a simple description: “A Canadian and a Jamaican united by their love of Japan, video games and more”. The Canadian is my pal Aaron, a great friend of more than 15 years. Despite growing up and living in very different places, we share a lot of overlapping interests. The Jamaican is obviously me, longtime blogger and at the time of this post enjoying my 9th summer in Japan. Our “about the hosts” episode goes into detail about our backgrounds and why we started this podcast.
Bon Bon Show is all about Japan: travel tips, studying Japanese, remising on and sharing our varied experiences, also video games. Whether they are established Japanese powerhouses like Monster Hunter or newcomers like Clair Obscur. We want to keep the episodes simple and conversational, laid back and fun. We hope you enjoy listening to them as much as we enjoy recording them when we can as a busy father of a toddler and a time-crunched grad student. One day, we hope to settle on recording a new episode every Sunday and releasing every Monday.
