Twitter is on the decline. My favourite social media platform is a cesspool of automated bots, political warring and some very strange people whose posts I can’t seem to escape. In mid 2023 I stepped away from Twitter explaining why I love(d) it and why it was my favourite social media network for the better part of 15 years since joining in May 2007.

The best “alternative” to appear from the sea of successors has been Bluesky – an almost clone of Twitter pre-Musk and most days I do not hate it there. I am a simple man – I am not looking to sell you anything, teach you anything, fight about anything or boast about anything. I just seek simple wholesome fun and interesting people, places and things curated by me to float across my timeline with the tools I need to do that curation and also share the people, places and things I find interesting. So far Bluesky has been doing a decent job, let’s see if it can be more than just a place for Twitter refugees. Follow me over there.
