  1. Congrats on the giveaway! I have no reason whatsoever why should I win this but I sure would love to have kanji poster on my wall or on the ceiling above bed for a little brainwash! Also thanks to Joseph from White Rabbit Press for making this giveaway happen! And of course, you, Kirk-san! πŸ™‚

  2. This is super cool!

I should win because I am crazy about cultures. I love the Japanese culture myself. From following your blog, I have explored many areas of the culture including the JIB TV which I am addicted to. Currently I do not have anything Japanese related at home, apart from bookmarks on the internet so this will be a good start. [jamaica]

  3. i should… going to win because i just completed my first japanese course (we did hiragana and only some basic katakana), but my lecturer thinks i should join his advanced class and start learning kanji! =) obviously my own kanji chart (or any character chart) would be a big help.
plus, like you, i’m going to start my own ‘visit japan’ fund and try to get there either this christmas or next summer. and hopefully after i’m done with school i’ll be able to move there, at least for a while…

(who knew becoming a fan of your page could have fringe benefits? lol)

  4. I should win because if I win the kanji poster, I WILL use it since I’m studying Japanese. It won’t just end up in one of my drawers^^ As for the audio tour, what can I say? I love Akihabara and since it includes an area map, I will use it next time I go to Tokyo, and show all these cool places to everyone on my blog!

  5. I’m already following πŸ˜› So I tell you my reasons, why I want that audio guided walking tour of Akihabara and Kabukicho.

You know that I like to travel and I’ve been in Korea recently. And now I’m back in Taiwan. So I’ve been all around Japan, but I did not go there. Why? Because I’ve been missing something very essential: An audio guided walking tour of Akihabara and Kabukicho, because I don’t want to get lost in Akihabara and Kabukicho, two of my favorite Tokyo spots. πŸ˜›

    How does that sound? [angel]

And on top of that I love Jamaica [jamaica] [jamaica]

I hope Jamaica wins the World Cup in SA, even if they didn’t qualify [smile]

And I love Jamaipanese, always support it and promote it at every corner.

Because of me, your blog became so popular [tongue]

Anyway, how does all that sound to you? πŸ˜›

  6. Hello. [japan]

I have entered twice via Twitter. I can tell you why I would like to win. I was in the Navy (which may or may not make you happy about me) in Sasebo Japan. While I was able to explore southern Japan (Kyushu) I only visited Tokyo twice and for very short periods of time. The last time I was in Japan was 1996. Now some 14 years later I have an 8 year old son and a lovely wife and am planning on making a trip back in 2011 with them to show them the wonderful country of Japan. I would love an in depth guide to Tokyo and you seem to be offering one. Lucky me. I would love to win and enjoy your blog none the less. Plus I am cheap and would always rather win something than pay for it (Every mikkle makes a muckle [jamaica] ).

I would be willing to pass it on once I am done.

  7. I also hope the use of the emots at least helps. Proper placement is essential…lol.

  8. I hope to win the Kanji poster, because I’m the kind that forgets easily if things are hidden, like between the covers of a book. My kids are along on my Japanese-learning ride and this poster will have a prime real-estate spot on our living-room wall. It’d be wonderful to have this to help burn each character into our minds and speed up our journey to fluency! Thank you for the contest. πŸ˜€

  9. I would LOVE to have the kanji poster because I need the help learning kanji. It would be so great to have something in front of me all the time to reinforce my studying.

  10. Look at that sexy kanji poster! [love] It would be lovely to have since I’m not very far along in my learning~ I could stand to learn EVERYTHING on that poster~ which in a way… is pretty fabulous because I’d be getting something out of every single character the poster has to offer. ^^

  11. Hi,

Nice give away ,me and my colleagues studying japanese at the university could realy use it.Actualy it is funny that we have being talking about it recently to help in our kanji studies and we are trying to get ahold of one.It would be a pleasant surprise if I were to show up with one.

    Anyway,best of luck to everyone.

  12. Hi,

If I won I would use the poster to star studying the kanji better since I will be starting to do the JLPT this year and I could learn all the readings easier and faster. If I got the audio tours, I would use it to learn more about the Japanese culture that I find interesting and it could help me since I will probably be going in exchange to Japan in 2012.

  13. Ok, here goes:

I should win the Kanji Poster because it’d go perfectly in my new room! I’m totally immersing myself in the world of JSL, and this would be a fantastic part of that world. I’m a Karate Instructor, actor, and self-confessed Japanomaniac.

Since I was there following the Sakura a few years ago, I’ve fallen in love with the culture and the language, and have been learning ever since. I’m taking the N4 JLPT in December, and this would make my empty new room a place of Kanji excitement!!!

    M.

  14. Oh wow, I would love to stick that Kanji poster up on my wall. I could study it as I drift off to sleep (perhaps I’ll dream Kanji?)
And the audio tour! What better way to immerse yourself in Akihabara and Kabukicho. I would love to close my eyes while listening and imagine I’m really there.

  15. OMG, I liked those two sooo much that I’m intending to buy even if I don’t win any of them here!
I’d love to win cause I live in Brazil — such a different country from Japan! I’m learning Japanese and any of these prizes would be really valuable, either from learning more from the culture, either for helping me with the language. Next year I’m going to college and I wanna graduate in anything related to Japan! Probably it’ll be related to language, so the kanji poster is gonna be really helpful!
I really, really, really wanna win!
My dream is going to Japan and build my life there. I want my children to live in this amazing country! So almost everything that’s coming from there, I’m loving!
I really wanna live around Japanese and everything they have to teach me!

  16. Ok i was thinking up a reason why I shud win but nothing came up to beat some of those above so my vote (not that I have one) goes to Corve or David for the poster and MKL for the audio.

  17. I would like to win because I’m on my 4th japanese course which I love. In september a group of japanese would go to my university and I’m in the group of people who have to receive them and show them our city. What is more, I’m planning to travel after I finish my career [in 1 year] ,for a scholarship, to Tottori and enter to the University there, then return to make the JLPT. For my this would be a great chance due to the fact that I’m mexican.

    [smile]

I’m extremely compromise with my knowledge and you could find out checking the people I follow on twitter…well, of course I follow some musicians but I’m a fan of some Japanese learning twitters :3

  18. I would love to win because i am intrigued by the fact that a competition for a Japanese poster closes in Jamaican timeframe…. i believe there could be a haiku in that somewhere

  19. I should win because I’m going to re-learn all my kanji this summer, and will benefit greatly from a bit of extra motivation, like a kanji poster!
