THE TRIP

A six-night itinerary for two, courtesy of InsideJapan Tours, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and Cathay Pacific visiting Tokyo and Kyoto, with accommodation provided on a b&b basis.

During your week in the Land of the Rising Sun, you will be able to experience the very different attractions of its two most fascinating cities: Tokyo and Kyoto. The trip begins in Tokyo – the modern capital and a metropolis of more than 13 million people, with a huge choice of restaurants, bars, art galleries and shopping streets to explore.

After your stay in Tokyo, you will ride the bullet train to Kyoto – Japan’s historic capital. It’s often hard to choose from the city’s wealth of gardens and temples, but you can begin with the 1,001 gilded statues in the Sanjusangen-do temple, just next door to your hotel.
