Mishima Skywalk – Japan’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge

Mount Fuji is a huge draw for tourists and so on all kinds of the mountain, there are various attractions competing for their attention. Going to Mount Fuji just to climb the mountain and then return home would have been a waste so my group and I made the best of the time checking out some of those attractions. One of which was Mishima Skywalk.

Mishima Skywalk

Japan’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge

Mishima Skywalk is Japan’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge. It is 400 metres long and offers up breathtaking views of Fuji (on a clear day). It just so happens that when I was there it was a cloudy, rainy day so Mr Fuji was hiding behind rain clouds. I wasn’t worried though as I knew I’d climb him the following day.

Try to go on a clear day

Mishima Skywalk is a simple attraction that I highly recommend for photographers and families. The facility is complete with shops, merchandise and adequate parking. It is open 7 days a week, every day of the year from 9 am to 5 pm. I’d definitely want to go again on a clear day as the photos I managed to snap does not do it justice. Check out the pamphlet for more information.
