I was fortunate enough to be invited to the send-off reception for the 15 Jamaicans successful in their quest to be English teachers in Japan via Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET). The reception was hosted by the Japanese Ambassador to Jamaica Hiroshi Yamaguchi and his wife Mrs Yamaguchi. It was a wonderful evening meeting, greeting and getting to know the successful JETs, pasts JETs and members of the Japanese community living in Jamaica. Personally it was very inspiring as I hope to one day be a participant in the JET programme so I will doubled my efforts to complete my degree and hopefully one day embark on an unbelievable new stage in life.
Ganbare!
