Jamaica clean up women 100m medals in Beijing Olympic Games

If the Jamaicans keep this Olympics performance I won’t be able to keep up with the updates! Jamaica created history by sweeping the 100m medals in the 100m for women. Sherry-Ann Fraser, Sherone Simpson and Kerron Stewart blew the world away.

The gold rush is set to continue and I’ll try to keep my excitement in check for a big update at the end of the medal haul. Jamaica now sits on top of the medal table in the athletic events.

  2. I understand that the US team filed a complaint that their own torri edwards false started so they wanted the 100m race to be rerun. This of course was thrown out by the iaaf. GO TEAM JAMAICA!!!! BIG UP OUR GIRLS! WE NAH MEK DEM TEK WAY WE JOY……1ST 2ND 2ND!!!JAMAICA LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!

  3. Heard that too mobaygirl. Sour grapes all the time.

I wish I could find a video online of the medal ceremony for the men’s 100m.

Big up to Bolt, Fraser, Simpson and Stewart!!!! 🙂

  4. I have been thinking about the same thing Ruthibelle, the performance of U.S. athletes and the clamping down of drugs.

  5. I can’t even talk… me heart so full, me so glad… and mi know it nuh over yet. Cause we have several events left to win and several medals left to scoop… US can eat them heart out. Them lucky… we athletes not up for sale anymore, Jamaican born and grown and coached and trained: 100% Jamaican a do it, straight!! And its funny, when they start clamping down on the drugs thing, the US suddenly weak… (not insinuating anything. 2+2 just makes 4 is all)

  6. Its like this the U.S. team can’t do nothing & won’t do nothing, since Marion Jones is locked up, many of the U.S. participants are not invloving themselves with the drugs. They need to investigate Carl Lewis as well. Without the enhancement drugs their true colors are shown…there is too much hype when it comes to the U.S. runners, any way the one to look out for is Sanya Richards, a Jamaican who runs for U.S. and got her U.S. citizenship back in ’02. She’s a good runner, I’m feeling some type of way about that tho team wise…

I’m proud of the Jamaican team, we are doing it with style. Let’s get more gold!

  7. Congrats for the Jamaican team.

Too bad Olivia has to bring it all down with the trash talking. Investigate Carl Lewis? That is stupid.

Olivia, you just need to relax on that crap. Not all American runners are dopers.

  8. I honestly don’t care bout Carl Lewis cause we break him record already anyway… more than once!

  9. And someday, someone will break Bolt’s record too. Maybe by a Jamaican or from some other country.

Many people have broken Lewis’ record, including several other American’s. Lewis’ day was like 20 years ago.

  10. Wow, talk about putting someone on blast. Ok, Olivia that probing should of taken place years ago & more people should of been added to your sweet list, the US isn’t fast without their drugs and now its back firing. Too bad. Wamp Wamp.

Yeah, all this talk about Bolt, he’s good, very good. He isn’t the first nor the last, I’m just pleased he’s bringing the business to Bey-Jing & the gold to JA. Its that raw talent, that the world, well mainly US can’t take.

No need to flame one’s opinion, we’re grown, well at least one can hope. lol

Awesome site btw, 2 thumbs up
