Today is Blog Action Day, and thousands of bloggers around the web are uniting to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind – the environment. Jamaipanese.com’s contribution is to highlight two active and hardworking environmental organizations in Jamaica:
The Environmental Foundation of Jamaica promotes, supports and implements activities designed to conserve the natural resources and the environment of Jamaica and fosters the well-being of Jamaican children.
The Jamaica Environment Trust is a non-profit, non-governmental membership organization operating in the island of Jamaica. Formed in 1991 their main focus is environmental education and advocacy believing that awareness of and concern about environmental issues are critical building blocks of sustainable development.
